David Modica
David Modica is a native of the Louisville, Kentucky area, currently residing in New Albany, Indiana. A photographer for nearly 30 years, David’s work is expressed in traditional black and white, silver gelatin prints; made by hand in his own darkroom.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University and studied photography formally at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn (Chicago), Illinois. He is a founding member of PYRO, an artist’s cooperative gallery in Louisville, where he has served as Business Director and Treasurer. David’s personal work is held in many private collections and on display in many corporations throughout the region. His work of the Stock Yards is part of the fine arts collection at the University of Louisville Photo Archives.
